Sylvia Shoal Holiday Resort is situated 90 km north of Inhambane and approximately 150 km south of Vilankulos, in the Morrungulo district of Mozambique. Sylvia Shoal is set amongst tropical coconut palms and sheltered by indigenous bush, offering guests both campsites and self-catering chalets.

The resort's self-catering chalets contain comfortable beds, a small kitchenette and dining area, as well as a shower, basin, toilet and gas geyser. Room facilities include mosquito nets, bed linen and bath towels. The chalets are within a very easy walk to the beach and restaurant which is right on the beach.

Our campsites are lovely, shaded and grassed. The squeaky clean ablutions offer flash toilets, showers and are equipped with gas geysers. Power is generated for 12 continuous hours per day, normally from 12h00 till 24h00. We pride ourselves on the fact that we do not overcrowd our beautiful site and all the campsites are within an easy stroll to the beach and the restaurant which is right on the beach.

Sylvia Shoal Holiday Resort is certainly an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy a complete getaway, do some exciting fishing or experience some superb diving from their own boats or with nearby Dive centres.

Very relaxing. Beaches amazing and stretch on for miles. Very clean. Accommodation extremely basic, but clean. Bungalows nicely spaced out.

It was lovely to stay at Sylvia Shoal Lodge. Hester the owner, is very friendly and will walk the extra mile to make you feel at home. We will be visiting again.

No happy by

Going to Silvia Shoal resort was utterly disappointing. The beaches are in a disgusting sate with plastic everywhere. Problem is nobody from the lodge is making an effort to clean it, the beach is after all what we go for. The restorant is there but not stocked at all for visitors. To top it all we had contribute to diesel to keep the generator running. The resort should not be operating at all in my opinion. There is really nothing to do.
