Tamapa Lodge is a luxurious guest house located on the beachfront, in a lovely suburb of Port Elizabeth called Bluewater Bay. Coega IDZ is in close proximity, as well as Port Elizabeth Airport, the casino, and the city centre.

We offer air-conditioned, sea-view rooms each with an en-suite bathroom, bar fridge, electronic safe, LCD TV with M-Net and DStv, tea and coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi Internet connection. We also have a fully stocked bar overlooking the ocean, where you can wind down with your favourite drink or simply just relax in our quiet garden and listen to the waves. We can arrange airport transfers, dinners on request as well as lunch packges, laundry service, and daily administration requirements such as copy, fax, and Internet use. A full English breakfast is also included in the room rate.

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. View was excellent staff friendly and the meals outstanding. Our room was clean but needs some attention - extractor fan in bathroom was not working and fan in room turning but not blowing air. Luckily we had the air conditioner. Maybe the TV Cabinet can be replaced with a small desk or table as room has no facilities for working executives.

Weekend stay July 2013 by

We spent an amazing anniversary weekend at Tamapa Lodge. Only good things can be said about the venue, as well as about the professionalism of Management and Staff! We were made to feel very welcome and at home and will definitely be returning again in the future. Thank you.



Our family of 3 stayed at Tamapa Lodge for three weeks during July. The Lodge is in a nice quiet neighbourhood with a nice walk way just in front and very close to the beach. Our host, Danie, was very generous to move us to a sea facing room after 4 nights, this room also included a bath which helped a lot with our toddler and they even gave us a microwave to use in the room although it is not a self catering facility. The room cleaning was fantastic-daily and with new towels daily. My only recommendation would be regarding breakfast which was very standard and not very appetising. The eggs and bacon was very greasy and the rest consisted of a different combination of the following: baked beans, tomato and onion relish, viennas, sweet corn, mushrooms, mince and twice some boerewors. There was also canned fruit with yoghurt and three cerials.
I can however not fault the hospitality of Danie and his staff. Thank you.


Comfort and style by

Discovered this gem of a B & B and was so happy I did. What a lovely place to stay where everything is done for your comfort.
Spacious well designed roomwith aircon, comfy bed and a tasty breakfast.
The host is attentive and helpful and the lady welcoming us with a glass of ice cold fruit juice was fabulous!
Definitely a place to return to again and highly recommended.
