Tanagra is an idyllic wine and guest farm in the McGregor valley, surrounded by the peaks of the Riviersonderend and Langeberg mountains and bordering the Little Karoo. It is the ideal place for the wine and nature lover seeking an authentic and peaceful countryside experience. It offers a farm experience on a wine farm at an up market level while keeping the natural farm character. We offer 4 units/cottages as part of the main farm (Garden cottage, Loft studio, Bottlebrush, Gumtree) canopied by our majestic wild fig tree and with a pool in the garden and 2 cottages that are tucked away - situated in wild Karoo veld (Hill cottage, Faraway) with their own private plunge pools. All units/cottages are tastefully furnished with open fireplaces and private braai places and private stoeps with stunning views. Guests are welcome to explore the farm on the various hiking trails we have here (also suitable for mountainbikes) and which extend into Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve 'next door', or come for a complimentary tasting of the wines and spirits we produce at Tanagra.
