We are well known for our friendly service and scrumptious breakfasts. Although a young B&B, we are privileged to now have many of our guests coming back time and time again.

Tancredi is a beautifully restored upmarket Victorian home with five en suite bedrooms. Situated in Scottsville, it is ideally situated with easy access to all amenities in and around Pietermaritzburg. Tancredi also features a beauty salon, swimming pool and braai facilities on the property. All rooms are equipped with TV, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and desks. Internet access and DStv are available. A full English breakfast is offered.

Normal check-in time is between 2 pm and 6 pm.

Should you wish to check-in earlier or later, please make a prior arrangement with management.

Check-out time is 10 am.

A warm welcome at Tancredi by

Just returned to the UK after a wonderful week's stay at Tancredi. Everything was as promised - scrumptious breakfasts, friendly and helpful hosts and a beautiful environment. We were made to feel very welcome from the word go, communication was excellent. Our host went above and beyond the call of duty to help make our stay an enjoyable and relaxing one. Would definitely return!

Thanks Ann. I had a great stay at Tancredi. Well appointed, clean, spacious room. Wonderful breakfast! You couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. Will definitely use Tancredi next time I need accommodation in Pietermaritzburg.



This is a charming well kept Vixtorian house with high ceilings and large rooms. The fixtures and fittings are modern , and the room was well presented. Ann was very helpful and professional, I would come and stay again. John.

EXCELLENT STAY by

I booked a one night stay for my elderly aunt and uncle at Tancredi for an overnight stay when they attended a PMB wedding. They loved it! Ann was a warm and welcoming hostess and they loved the decor and attention to detail and cleanliness in the whole B&B and especially their room. A  delicious Sunday breakfast too. Thanks Ann for your kindness.
