Under the new ownership it is really going to be a popular place to sleep over. The main building and surround accommodation is very attractive and full of bird life. There is also water holes for the wild life animals. We stayed in a Meru Tent and enjoyed to be in the bush but we were surprised to find only 2 beds and a bathroom and was not prepared when we arrived. Usually a tented house has at least a 2 plate stove with a kettle, a pot and some cutlery if you prefer to prepare your own food.

Comfortable stay by

We often stay at Tautona on or from our way to Namibia. The lodge is comfortable with friendly hosts and a much improved restaurant. We recommend it to any traveller.

Lion roaring at night by

We liked the fact that the campsite was away from the lodge and other visitors. You could sit on the verandah and enjoy nature. Breakfast was okay, not fantastic - and a bit pricey. But all in all a good experience.
