Tofo Beach Cottages offers a selection of five self-catering cottages, spread throughout Tofo and Tofinho. The cottages offer rustic-style accommodation and are equipped to cater for typical South African families of four to eight people.

All cottages are uniquely styled and offer rustic and homely atmospheres. The cottages are equipped with cutlery, crockery, bedding and furnishing - all the basics needed for a pleasant stay. Please note that no television is available; this is truly a place where you can reconnect.

Casa Rustic and Casa Da Relva sleep six and eight guests respectively in rustic houses built with half brick and half reed. Whatever your needs or the size of your party, we have something for you.

Sad to say we were very disappointed with Tofu cottage - there's a huge difference between rustic and shabby. Furnishings were tatty and uncomfortable. I must hasten to add that the caretaker was very friendly and the house was clean. The directions are also incorrect - there is no "reception" and we were just lucky that someone passing by knew where to direct us. Would definitely not recommend.

No help from the owner by

We booked a house for 11 people over the December holidays.
The directions given to us by the owner was not correct and their is no "reception" as we were led to believe.
When we arrived we found that the house was not equipped for 11 people. there was only beds for 8 people and the beds that were there were dirty. We did inform the owner ahead of time about the extra people joining and he said it would be no problem.
We had no running water for long periods of time, luckily the local helpers brought us water to use.
When we did have water it was a brown/yellow colour and we could not drink it, although we were promised a borehole. Not being able to shower in the extreme heat or even use the toilets was really unpleasant.
The kitchen tap broke, the tap in the bathroom did not work, the fans did not work, the fridge did not work ect.
When we tried to contact the owner he stopped taking our calls and did not call us back at all. He was of no help to us.
We still have not heard from him and we arrived there on the 26th of December.
I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone but I will recommend Tofo beach!
