Tsavo Buffalo Camp and Tsavo River HillTsavo Region, , Kenya Tented Camp (family units from R 1,426) | R 1,426 |
The Tsavo Buffalo Camp and the Tsavo River Hill are two safari camps situated on the edge of the Tsavo East National Park, the largest park in Kenya and one of the most extensive in the world.
The Tsavo Buffalo Camp has 11 en-suite Bungalows furnished in a simple style, arranged around a large bonfire at the centre. The camp also has an informal restaurant, a bar and a relaxation zone.
The Tsavo River Hill has been constructed in a privileged position on a small hill, with beautiful views over the River Galana. There is a restaurant, a lounge bar and a relaxation area.
Both camps face directly onto the banks of the River Galana, within close contact to wild animals. The wake-up call is at dawn, when breakfast is served and going on the first safari. Lunch will be served on your return to the camp. A walking safari is then enjoyed in the Savanna, accompanied by a Masai warrior who will indicate the footprints and tracks of the animals. Come face-to-face with crocodiles and hippos lying on the banks of the river, just a few meters from the bungalows.
Later in the afternoon is another safari trip on a Land Cruiser, with a return at sunset. Guests will then enjoy a drink around the Masai bonfire and socialize with other guests. A delicious dinner under the starry sky follows, with the option of another night-time safari on request.
