From the lodge you have a clear view of the hills of Ulundi to King Cetshwayo's kraal. What was an ominous area is now a journey through the footsteps of a great Zulu king.

The closest tourist attractions are; The Spirit of Emakhosini, Ophathe Game Reserve, Umfolozi Hluhluwe Game Reserve and the King Cetshwayo museum.

Received a wonderful and personal welcome from Sam Dladla. The accommodation is clean and basic and serviced (which was a pleasant surprise). They could supply a small bedside lamp for reading.

My Stay by

It was a pleasant stay, the rooms are tidy. They welcome the visitors warmly.



Alles prima.Nette Menschen, schöne, saubere Zimmer und gutes Frühstück. Gerne wieder.

Not very pleasant by

No warm water in unit for entire stay.  They gave access to another unit just to bath/shower.  TV was broken.

Thank you for your recent review. We appreciate reviews because they highlight areas of improvement. It saddens me that the gentlemen you had booked for did not enjoy their stay. The geyser gave trouble on the third day and it was rectified immediately, while the issue was being fixed an alternative unit was offered for them to shower. The TV was not broken but it was the DSTV signal that was lost and that was resolved with the Multichoice call centre the very same hour.

Please accept my sincere apology it is never our intension to make our guests' stay unpleasant. Should you require accommodation again in the area please allow me to redeem myself and show you how our hospitality is intended to be.
