Umkobi Sea Cottage

Umkobi Sea Cottage is a log house set in a secure complex on the fringes of a lush wetland estuary in Southbroom, just south of Margate. The cottage looks out over the reeds of the wetland, the lagoon and onto the sands and surf of the warm Indian Ocean.

The cottage has two bedrooms, both with glass doors leading onto a sea-facing deck, which runs the entire length of the unit. There are two bathrooms, the main bathroom being en suite off the dressing room. There is an open-plan living area and a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities. Secure covered parking is available. There is also a communal pool with a wooden deck and a jetty which allows access to the lagoon.

A Blue Flag beach is within a five-minute drive or an easy walking distance along the beach. The nearby lagoon is ideal for sail boarding. The Impenjati Nature and Marine Reserve is situated a few kilometers to the south at the mouth of the Impenjati River and offers joggers or casual strollers many kilometres of pristine beach.
