Valley Lakes offers a peaceful family getaway destination. On site, we have three cottages that can each sleep, eight people. Although they are self-catering, bed and breakfast stays can easily be arranged with prior notice. The units are fully equipped and furnished to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Each cottage can sleep eight people and is fully furnished and equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are tastefully appointed and can be configured to twin or double beds depending on your preference. The cottages have indoor fireplaces, outdoor fire pits and Weber braais with wood sold on site. The kitchen has all utensils, cutlery and crockery along with toasters, microwaves, kettles and ovens. They are cleaned and serviced daily.

We offer birding, trail running and walking, horse rides by prior arrangement and fly fishing.Lots of space for trail running and mountain bikingOur lake is also very suitable for canoeing and swimming in some areasTours up Sani Pass depart daily from Underberg which is 20 minutes away.

The quite peaceful feeling by

We had a great stay and enjoyed the farm and lake very much. The only problem that we experianced was on arrival, the GPS coordinates took us passed the turn off onto a different farm road, the signage is good but does not show so well at night.There was nobody to meet us and our numerous calls to the advertised cell phones were not answered, reception is very poor, eventualy I made contact with Faruk who came and openned up for us and made us very welcome and cared for us throughout the rest of our stay. All in all the place was great and I would recommend it to anybody wanting to get away from it all./

Extremely cold by

The internet advert conveys a false impression of the cottages. During winter this place is extremely cold with the hot water freezing and thus no showers in the morning. The windows are not sealed so polar air fills the interior with the fireplace (the only source of heat; no electric heaters) unable to cope at all. Our Swedish companions are sure they have never been colder. Overall a very frosty experience. The caretaker did a very good job in trying to resolve the pipe issues and was quick to bring firewood to thaw us out. A very nice person.
