Visit the Cheetah retreat in Paardevlei, Somerset West. And hike or mountain bike in the Helderberg Nature Reserve.

Discover the beautiful historic grounds at Morgenster and try their award winning olives and delicious olive oil tastings. Don't miss the beautiful grounds and buildings at Vergelegen or Lourensford. From your cottage you have easy access to either Stellenbosch or Somerset West via the R44. The beach is a mere 10 minutes away. Cape Town International is 25 minutes away and the Helderberg Nature Reserve a 12 minute drive.

The surrounding areas are a perfect exploring ground for the mountain bike or hiking enthusiast. Two major Golf clubs, Erinvale and Stellenbosch. One of the best Woolworths food stores in the Cape Winelands only 5 kilometres away at the Waterstone Village opposite the Lord Charles Hotel. The historic town of Stellenbosch has lots to offer like "Oom Samie se Winkel" in Dorp street. Visit the Village Museum. Enjoy a walk through the University Stellenbosch Botanical Garden. Rent a bicycle at the Stellenbosch Wine Routes visitor Centre in Church street and enjoy all the street-side coffee shops. Try and visit The Postcard Cafe in the beautiful Jonkershoek Valley.
