Vista Alta Lodge offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in the beautiful hillside beach area of Ponta Malongane in Mozambique. The house offers accommodation for six people in a house that overlooks the ocean.

The private home is fully equipped for self-catering. The kitchen offers modern appliances including a fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and all cutlery and crockery. The kitchen also has a breakfast nook with seating where guest can enjoy breakfast. The lounge area has soft leather couches and the lounge is fitted with a carpet. The kitchen offers wooden finishes to compliment the wooden structure of the home. The balcony offers views of the ocean and there is a splash pool for guests to enjoy on the other side of the house.

The area is popular with scuba divers and there are many dive resorts and dive shops. This is the ideal place to explore the ocean either diving in the reefs or snorkelling. The long white beaches are perfect for a sunset stroll before a nightcap.

The view by

We were not impressed with this house at all. Interior dated and smells stuffy/dusty. Swimming pool was disgustingly dirty and not in working order. One bed had no mosquito net, despite confirming before-hand all beds have nets. Cupboards were full of building material and other items. Guest room cupboards had no hanging rails. Linen was full of stains and fish-moth damage. Braai had no grid and wheel broken off, broken chairs in braai area. House definitely not well maintained - peeling barge boards, broken patio door, broken TV cabinet, sticky shower doors. We were quite disappointed. This resort also has no facilities (restaurant, pool, bar, spa and no backup generator for the many power failures experienced).
