This is a beautiful campsite nestled behind the sand dunes, on Wakene Beach Estate, within the coastal forest.

There are eight secluded Campsites available, each with their own private ablution and kitchenette.

The private sites can accommodate up to 12 guests per campsite. Each camp has a power point, water tap and a braai available.

The ablutions are equipped with flushing toilets, hot-water showers and basins.

There is also a separate kitchenette with a fridge, a kettle and a two-plate stove.

Toilet paper and cleaning materials, including dishwashing liquid are supplied. Included in the tariff is a maid to clean each site daily.

This is the ideal base to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the indigenous coastal forest with abundant bird life and natural fauna and flora.

Everything was really great, the campsite was clean and well equipped. Everyone was friendly and helpful, it was the best camping trip we've had and will definitely go back. Just remember to bring everything along - even though you have your own camping facilities (kitchen/bathroom) - you still need to pack the usual things like cooking and eating utensils. And don't forget your mozzie spray!! Really loved it - thank you!

We loved every moment of our stay from 11th till 15th August 2017 at camsite 4. Was quiet, warm, the site offered plenty of shade and space for the kids. Everything we were looking for as a family. Beach was also beautiful and quiet. The campsite was clean and well equiped, but remember to bring all your own utensils. We will certainly be back.

Excellent hide-away from the hustle and bustle of Ponto do Ouro. Beach was amazing and the reef fantastic for snorkelling.

Our stay was one of the best experiences we have had for a long time. We cannot think of one negative thing. Our kitchen, shower and toilets were cleaned each and every day. Our washing was washed every single day. The campsite is in a good condition, clean and neat. Each campsite is private and apart from each other as to prevent noise from one another. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

The perfect place to relax by

I could not think of a better place to just sit and relax and unwind. The camp was clean, The staff where helpful and friendly. For both me and my Girlfriend it was the perfect place just to be able to sit and enjoy each other company. Been able watch Sun rise each and every day and listen to the sea and the birds was an absolute pleasure. Can not wait to go back for another week or 3. Thank you to every one at Wakene Beach for making it one of the perfect holidays. Thanks to Craig for all his time and effort. One thing to keep in mind to get off the tar road before you hit ponta, it will save you about 30 minutes drive through the eaten up road between Ponta da Oura and Wakene Beach.
