Enjoy an exhilarating array of adventures on our wildlife conservancy, whether it is just for the day or a relaxed weekend away. Activities include quad biking, guided bush walks, camel rides, lion walks, game drives, birding and clay pigeon shooting. Our quad biking offers a journey through the conservancy, which includes a natural quarry and plenty of game viewing. Or opt for the guided night ride. Our vehicle is fitted with spotlights so you can view the nocturnal wildlife, including the elusive aardvark and witty badger. For a once in a lifetime experience, spoil yourself and take an intimate walk with our majestic lions, or enjoy a picnic in their company. A horse ride through our conservancy affords you the opportunity to blend in and get up close to our towering giraffe, zebra, waterbuck or herd of impala, to mention just a few.

WILDTHINGZ LODGE REVIEWS (83 %) Pragtig by Anonymous, South Africa 01 May 2008 Die mense het ons dadelik welkom laat voel. Die chalet was pragtig en skoon en baie netjies. Recommended by Carien Pienaar, South Africa 05 May 2008 Wonderful! Very peaceful and the set up is conducive to just relax, read and sleep. AMAZING by Tshegofatso Baloyi 30 August 2017 Seeing the lions, being woken up by their roar.Just awesome. The entire experience was a highlight by Sandra Wesolowski 15 January 2018 So, first things first. Booking accommodation at the Lodge was quick, simple and pleasant. The Lodge itself is situated within a larger wildlife conservancy area. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly and helpful security guard from which we received an entry tag for the duration of our stay. The actual (dirt) road to the Lodge was a little confusing, however we immediately found ourselves driving past a variety of wildlife (giraffe, waterbuck, impala, springbuck, etc). The driving past part being very slow of course.
The hospitality of the Lodge staff and management, in particular Kerry and Darlington, was both warm and inviting. We were accommodated in their favourite unit (No. 4) whereby the unit itself was spacious, clean, private and well-maintained. We found Kerry to be both welcoming and informative to say the least. She went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable whilst being incredibly responsive to all of our needs. This was most appreciated.
Some of the amazing activities offered at the Lodge we only came to know of once we had arrived, these included a walk with the lions, interacting with a cheetah and two lion cubs, as well as rare interaction with a one-year old hyena and lion. In addition the scenery was pristine and well-preserved, of which the magnificent night sky was our personal favourite.
Also Darlington, a tour guide at the Lodge, who is a young, respectable and prompt professional in what he does (both patient and knowledgable) only added to the overall experience we had. However, not only did he offer to take photos (which were amazing by the way) but he also allowed us to focus on enjoying ourselves and taking our time with interacting with the wildlife mentioned above. To summarise, our stay was definitely one that we will never forget (for all the right reasons). We highly recommend WildThingz Lodge for those who have a taste for a true appreciation of nature, peace and quiet as well as value for money. WILDTHINGZ LODGE LOCATION
