Nestled behind the dunes, Woodside is just five minutes' walk to the Kariega River, beach restaurant and beautiful Blue Flag beach. Our comfortable accommodation makes Woodside a relaxing break for a few days or a stunning place to spend a long holiday.
Woodside provides self-catering accommodation for 4 adults and 3 children. The 3 comfortable bedrooms comprise of a queen and a twin for the adults, and a smaller room for the children with a bunk-bed and single bed. There are 2,5 shared bathrooms, one guest toilet, one with a shower and bath, and the other with just a shower. Two spacious living areas allow adults and children their own private space when necessary. The larger living area has double doors that open out onto a private patio and deck, with a built in braai and comfortable all weather furniture for relaxing after a long day on the beach. Both living areas have TV with full DSTV. The main lounge has a smart TV with Netflix capabilities for those guests who have accounts. WiFi is available on request for an additional fee.
The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, gas and electric hob and under-counter oven. The house is serviced Mondays and Fridays, but extra days can be requested at an additional cost.
Life is made a little easier as beach essentials are available for guests use. These include beach towels, a beach bag, beach umbrella and bat and ball. There are board games and a dart board for those rainy days or for some evening fun. For the chilly winter months we have an indoor gas heater and extra blankets to make you comfortable.
For all those wildlife enthusiasts there is the option of game viewing at nearby Sibuya Game Reserve. You will be pleased to know that the Addo Elephant Park is an easy drive from Kenton and a day spent in Addo is always special. Both the Kariega and Bushmans rivers are perfect for boating, skiing, paddling or sup-boarding. If fishing is something you enjoy, an afternoon along side the river is very peaceful, or one can fish into the many gully's off of the beaches; license permitting of course. The beautiful beaches offer long walks with interesting rock formations, rock pools at low tide and secret swimming spots. After all these activities one gets hungry! Kenton and Bushmans have some lovely restaurants and takeaways just a few minutes walk or drive from Woodside.
If you haven't yet visited Kenton I can strongly recommend it. It is a place that will creep into your heart and keep you coming back.
