Zebra River Lodge is an old original farmhouse, situated in 12 500 hectares of dramatic scenery, deep in the Tsaris Mountains of Southern Namibia.

Solar water heaters make the most of the sun and the waterhole is attracting more and more animals and birds as they discover this permanent source of water in the desert. Let the warmth and our Namibian hospitality welcome you to a place of light and airy spaces on the slopes of the Zebra River Canyon in the Tsaris Mountains. Experience summer dinners together under the cool verandah or nestle by the warm fireplace in winter.

Zebra River Canyon is a heaven for geologists, archaeologists, palaeontologists, hikers and birders, as well as for those who just want peace and quiet. We invite you to relax under an azure sky and to feast your senses on our tranquil surroundings. The area offers endless plateaus and deep canyons where guests can discover an abundance of birds and antelope or see the mountain zebras keeping watch over their territory.

Amazing lodge by

This lodge is very remote and tucked away in a beautiful valley amongst towering mountains. The rooms were so comfortable, luxurious and spacious. The staff were also super friendly and accommodating. We were treated like royalty. The food was great and the staff even entertained us one evening. Highly recommended.



Wat 'n verassing, die plek. Vriendelike mense en ontvangs, mooi kamers en beddegoed. Baie lekker verblyf en kos.

We were treated as royal guests. They give us personal attention. At dinner the employees sang for us, it was great. Food also good.

Peace and quiet by

loved the location and views. Lovely walks and pool. Fantastic el fresco dining on outside verandah.

Zebra by

Comfortable but very overpriced for what you get. It's very far out in the middle of nowhere but it is beautiful. No air conditioning. No tv. Wi-Fi is pathetic. The chalets are far away from where you are park so luggage is a mission. Breakfast was very good though. Staff friendly.
